Why We Built This

If you have ever gotten a contractor quote and wondered, "Is this fair, or am I being taken advantage of?" you are not alone. Millions of American homeowners face that exact moment of doubt every year.

We built HomeService USA because the existing options were not good enough. Most home services websites are either lead-generation funnels disguised as advice (they sell your contact info to contractors), or they are so generic that they do not actually help you make a decision.

We wanted to build something different: a resource that treats homeowners like adults who deserve real, specific, honest information.

What Makes Us Different

  • No paid contractor listings. We do not accept money from contractors or service providers to recommend them. Ever.
  • Real cost data. Our price ranges come from real homeowner experiences, verified industry data, and official sources. Not made-up averages.
  • Empathy first. We know that a broken furnace in January is not just a "home improvement project." It is a stressful, sometimes scary situation. We write like we are talking to a friend, not selling to a lead.
  • Government-verified sources. We link to the EPA, Department of Energy, ENERGY STAR, state licensing boards, and other official sources so you can verify everything we share.

Importantly, the presence of ads does not influence our editorial content in any way. We will never recommend a product or service because an advertiser asked us to.
